Sven Estridsen (or Sweyn II Estridsson) was the last Viking King. He was King of Denmark from 1047 until his death in 1074 (or 1076 according to some records).
He was the son of Ulf Jarl and Estrid Svendsdatter. He married three times and fathered at least 20 children. Only one child was legitimate (from his second marriage) and the rest were born out of wedlock with multiple different mistresses.
His mtDNA HVR1 profile was determined by DNA testing of his skeletal remains from his tomb at the Roskilde cathedral.
