A friar (NN1) from a World War II mass grave

The remains of a friar discovered in a mass grave in the Dalmatian mountains, Croatia. This friar was captured, tortured and killed in 1945 and buried with 17 others in a field outside the village of Zagvozd.

His Y-DNA STR profile (12 markers) was determined from skeletal remains exhumed from the grave and matched to the Y-DNA profile obtained from blood samples of two paternal nephews.
