Merovingian necropolis skeletal remains 169-1 and 169-2

A mitochondrial DNA type identified in skeletal remains from a Merovingian necropolis in Jau Dignac et Loirac, France. This tomb dates back to the 7th – 8th century AD.

A male (169-1) and female (169-2) from the same sarcophagus shared this mtDNA profile.

The mtDNA profile was determined by genetic analysis of tooth samples from the remains.
